deployment problems with .Net 2003 and Crystal

I created a deployment package and followed the instructions of Crystal
Decision's "Crystal Reports for Visual Studio .NET"  "Application
Deployment" dated 11/14/2002.
I am using VS.NET 2003 with Framework 1.1. Framework is installed on the
client machine and the client has XP Pro as the OS.
When the client runs the app he gets the following error:
"Cannot find KeycodeV2.dll or Invalid Keycode"

Your help would be much appreciated.

Roy,

When you added your merge modules, you need to add your
license key manually to the properties of the regwiz
module.

After you have added that module, click on properties,
and then on merge module.
You will see the field for license key.

The quickest way to retrieve your key is to click on
help, about microsoft development environment, and then
you will see your license for Crystal reports.

I had the same problem with my first few deployments.

Hope that helps

I'm having the same problem with VS.NET and Framework v1.

I put my 10 digit license key in the proper place and had the exact same
result as Roy.

Bill,
According to the docs, you need to use the 19 digit product key found in
VS.NET Help...About...Then on the line with Crystal Decisions.
Maybe you will have a better result than I.

I used the 19 character code and I got past the KeycodeV2 error.

Now I get another error dialog:

Query Engine Error:
'c:\document and
settings\...\temp\temp_3c3b6361_d3a8_4018_9972_c537f0c07994.rpt'

of course, a cryptic message like this means nothing to me.

Can any elucidate?
