Logon Failed when exportign crystal report to PDF (or any other format)

When attempting to export a Crystal Report (created from a dataset
programmitcally) i get a LogonFailed error. I have no problem creating
this report and viewing it through the Crystal Report Viewer.  Can
anyone offer any insite as to why this is happening and what I can do
to circumvent this error?

Crystal: I am creating the report through the VS.NET designer.
.NET Framework: 1.0.3705

Got any ideas?

I have seen this same error.

I am using VS.NET SP2 and CrystalReports 9.

What do you think is causing this?

Hey,

are you the same brian bischof from CrystalReportsBook.com. I was
reading your stuff, its pretty well done. Unfortunately, the chapters
didn't give me a solution. Got any ideas whats going on. I am gonna
put the data into an XML if i cant figure it out, but i want to stay
away from that for now.

Thanx, and great literature.

As it turns out, this is an IIS setting.

The viewer directory in IIS, for security, for Anonymous Access, one must
"Allow IIS to control password".

There is Crystal KB article on this.

Thank you.

Mark - I don't believe this is necessarily a IIS problem. This message
occurs on various work stations (while using a VS .net application) on
my system when trying to print a CR. Some work ok?. IIS is not
involved.  Bob J.
