How do you pass a value from a sub-report?

 Passing a value from a sub-report

Assuming that you are using CR 5 or 6 you can use the StoreStringVar and
Fetch String var functions in a formula.

In the Main report set formula StoreStringvar("Test","") (To initialise it)
In Subreport set formula StoreStringvar("Test","This is a test") (To store
it in Memory)

Back in main report setup a formula AFTER the subreport
FetchStringvar("Test") to display it

Store and Fetch Types are Stringvar, Numberval, Booleanvar and Currencyvar

Note: You will also need to include UFstore.dll or U2Store.dll in the
Crystal Directore

If you do a search in the help text on store it should point you in the
right place

Hope this helps
