Seagate Crystal Reports has added a new development tool for Microsoft
Visual Basic called the Report Designer Component (RDC). The RDC
(previously code named "Baja") allows Visual Basic 5.0 developers to
create, view and modify reports from directly within the Visual Basic
design environment. Visual Basic code can be used to control report
appearance through an extensive object model and the RDC is compatible
with all existing RPT files. A fully supported version of the RDC can be
downloaded free of charge from the Seagate Software web site. Complete
details are available at http://www.*-*-*.com/
In keeping with the spirit of these forums, Seagate Software does not
normally post product oriented announcements on this or any news group.
However, we felt that it was important to let all of our existing Visual
Basic users know about this new tool, and this news group is recognized
as an important gathering place for developers sharing reporting
information. If you have any feedback, positive or negative, about this
for your attention and for using our product in your applications!
