Crystal Report and large scale archiving

Crystal Report and large scale archiving

Has anybody out there had any experience with archiving CR data on a large
scale, with a view to being able to generate the exact same report at some
date in the future?

I'm thinking here of archiving to WORM (write once read many) media for
legal purposes.

Crystal Reports maintains backwards-compatibilty in that it keeps the
formatting of older reports on newer versions of Crystal. File sizes
may change with upgrades to Crystal. In my experience working in the
Crystal environment, I would say that perhaps 1% of the reports do not
hold their complete original format.
Hope this helps,
