Integrated Security Issues with SQL2000 and Crystal 8

Hi,

We are having a problem getting a report to display in the browser without
prompting for User and password information.  We are using..

Server 1
-------
Windows 2000 Advanced Server SP1
IIS 5.0
Crystal Reports Web Component Server Version 8

Server 2
-------
Microsoft SQL Server 2000 SP2

Client
-------
Windows 2000 Workstation SP1/Windows NT 4.0 SP5
Internet Explorer 4.0 / Internet Explorer 5.5
Crystal Reports Version 8 for Report design

Our problem occurs when we try to create a report using the OLE DB driver,
and specifying 'Trusted Connection'  as our Database is setup for 'NT
Security' only.  The report works fine in the design environment and doesn't
ask for any User or Password information if you close the report, open it
again in the designer, and run it.  If we use the browser to run the report
by specifying it in the URL, the ActiveX control initialises and then we are
prompted for User and Password information.
We have scoured the Crystal Decisions knowledgebase web site for info and
have tried the following to no avail..

1.    Using <<Use Integrated Security>> as the 'User0' parameter in the
querystring, as well as typing it into the pop up box that appears.

2.    Checking that the IUSR Account has the appropriate rights to folders
on the Web Server, and to the Stored Procedure within the SQL Database.

3.    We have tried reverting to Crystal Reports 7.0 and moving up to 8.5.

4.    We have checked all settings on the virtual directory containing the
report.  Tried deleting it and re-creating it.

If we use the 'Remote Automation Server' method within an .ASP page, the
reports run correctly, but we aren't allowed to use sessions (which this
method uses) on our webfarm.

Any help would be greatly appreciated.

I'm beginning to realize that Crystal Reports and NT security are not happy
together. I've been trying to run a report from an ASP page, and logging on
with NT security has not been possible so far. Yet if I simply add
"reporter" as a user to the database, and have all the reports log on as
that user, no problem.

I realize this isn't an answer to your question...

Have you tried running the page server from the command line instead
of as a service?  This worked for me.
