 Crystal Reports 7.0 Problem

We are modifying the basic "Detailed Statement" that comes with Platypus
with Crystal Reports 7.0. We have completed everything and it all works,
except we are trying to put a balance due at the top of the first page.
Since the report totals the line items up in order, the value at the top is
always zero. We are trying to put an embedded subreport at the top to give
this value, but we have not had much luck. Any tips or tricks on doing this
would be greatly appreciated.

Thanks for the help.

do the sum the normal way and put it at the end  of the report.
Verify that you are getting the correct number.

Move the sum to the group header.
Check that you still get the same number.

Format the report so that the sum in the group header is where you want it.
(It needs to stay in the group header.)
