 Newbie: Drill-down using CR7

Hi,

I am new to Crystal Reports and am using version 7.

I have created a report using CR7, which has three group headers each set
for drill-down. When I preview the reoprt, and drill down my groups, I would
like the contents of the preceding group's text objects to stay displayed.
How do I achieve this? At the moment they disappear and only the header for
the current group shows. Any help would be appreciated.

You will find an option under File...Report Options that allows you to
keep previous group headers on drill down - "Show All Headers on Drill
Down".  You  can either repeat this for each new report you create or
set the same option globally in File...Options and click on the
Reporting tab.

Many thanks for your help Phil, but I believe that option isn't available in
CR7!! I've checked and it's not there under either menu. I know it IS there
in v8.5 though. Thanks for the suggestion anyway.

Oops, sorry Jan.  I forgot it wasn't in v7.  Too long using v8/8.5  -
this article might be a workaround - haven't tried it myself though  -
c2003773 on the Crystal Decisions web site.  Hope it helps.

Thanks again for your help Phil. This workaround works fine for my needs.
Plus, you've pointed me in the right direction for the CR knowledge base.
You've made my second day in my new job go a lot smoother!!!
