 Error 800c0300 ActiveX control failure

I have a couple of ActiveX controls on an ASP web page
that are failing (They show as the red X). I have checked
the basic stuff such as: User has access to update the
registry, sufficient disk space, IE security settings,
etc.

In addition, the problem seems to only occur with a client
using Win2k and IE 5.5.

The Code Download Error Log, in addition to other
information, shows the following:
"Code Download Error: (hr = 800c0300) Unknown Error!!"

Any ideas would be apprecitated.

Thank you,
Keith

Kally,

Thanks for responding.

The log entry for one control is below.  The other control
also fails with the same message but on a different file,
OLEAUT32.DLL.

 Error 800c0300 ActiveX control failure
Hi Keith,

The problem is caused by including msado15.dll which is a part of MDAC in
your package. MDAC is not designed to be installed using Internet component
download. You have to remove it from your package.

For more information, please refer to the following article:
Q251325 PRB: Using MDAC with Internet Component Downloads

I hope this helps.
