I wanted to know how to get the time connected to the
net. I am using a dial up connection. Basically I want to
know how much total time i spend a day on the net. How do
i do this.

Using RAS API you can launch the dial up connection using phone book
programmatically. Also you can hook to the connection so that when it is
disconnected, your program gets notified. This way, your program is in
charge of the internet connection so that you know when it is established
and when it is shut down. I believe you should be able to find out some
useful samples by searching google using RASDial.  HTH.
