how save a null value in an integer field with a data control

I need save a null value in an integer field with a data control in Visual
Basic 4.0 Prof-Access 7.0.
I have used "EDIT" and "UPDATE" in the validate method of the data but this
cause recursivity problems when unload the form (and not to the reposition
data) because the validate is called another time.
The error is "3426":
"The action was canceled by an associated object"

Please, may you help me?

Thank you.
