Setting Usercontrol (ocx) width at runtime wider than Width property of usercontrol

I have created a small ocx (that's based on a 3-D panel), but when I
use the OCX from a VB program, I cannot make the width larger then the
width property of my usercontrol.

Do I have to set the width to the widest possible value, or is there
another way to solve this problem.
