 Problem with registration of COMDLG32.OCX Hello all, Today, I got on my computer and tried to run VB, and it tells me that
comdlg32.ocx is not registered properly. I have tried re-installing nt sp5,
and re-registering the control, but no luck. Does someone know how to fix
this? VB is fried without this stuff!

Problem with registration of COMDLG32.OCX Yea, tried that one already, but that didn't work either. Are there any dependency files for comdlg32.ocx? A DLL perhaps? I can't imagine what else could cause this. This happened with VB5 once, and that cool utility fixed it. This time, in VB6, nope. George Hardy

Problem with registration of COMDLG32.OCX yea, i tried that first, then re-reg, then re-install sp5, but what I didn't do is actually look for the file in my system32 directory. it was not there. it wasn't even in my winnt directory...nowhere...I will re-install vs6.0 now, and then it's service pack. -George Hardy

Problem with registration of COMDLG32.OCX I will tell you my story, it might help. We had similar problems on a computer. All sort of reinstalls were just
waste of time. Taking the RegMon utility from the
http://www.sysinternals.com site we discovered that the default value of the
license key is missing from the registry. The parent key for the licensed
components is: HKCR\Licenses. We just copied the license string for the
common dialogs component from another computer and everything went fine.
You might have a different problem...
