ActiveX Controls internal versioning

 ActiveX Controls internal versioning

I have a question regarding the internal versioning of Active X controls
created by VB5 SP3

This is the version that is attached to the object reference in the .vbp
file

example: Object={GUID}#1.0#0; Ctl.OCX

When does VB increment this by whole numbers i.e. to 2.0, and when does it
increment it by tenths i.e. to 1.1?

I know that when this number is incremented, VB apps that use this control
need to be recompiled.

Any help would be appreciated.
