 binding a data bound grid control programmatically

I am writting a Visual Basic front end to a databse and I would like to use
the data bound grid control; however since the database is in access 2000
format, the intrinsic data control cannot read it, thus I am unable to bind
the data bound grid control.  If any of you could help, I would greatly
appreciate it.
