ad-hoc query building component.

 ad-hoc query building component.

I'm looking for a Visual Basic 6 component (or code) that will allow users
of my database application to query the database without having to know how
to construct SQL commands. Something that uses a visual interface to allow
them to construct queries.

If it also had the ability to interface and mail merge the results with
Microsoft word document that would be a plus.

Does anyone have any recommendation? If so please provide me with the name
of the product and the URL.

Thanks ahead of time!

 ad-hoc query building component.
We have been using Active Query by Korzh for over 2 years now with very
pleasing results.  We initially looked at VB-ELF but found it was way too
complex for our needs.

You can find Active Query at http://www.korzh.com/activex/aq/
VB-ELF is at http://www.elfsoft.com  (on the left panel click on "Developer
Tools")

Have fun.

 ad-hoc query building component.
I downloaded the trial. but i cannot figure out how to use it in vb6. I went
to the component viewer, clicked on browse and went into active query's
folder and pointed to the .ocx file. VB6 then told me it was unable to
register it as an active x component.
