 vb.con and vb.ole - whats the difference
{*filter*} question... that anybody would answer in a different way.

I would tell that Ole is based on COM and that MS presented Ole 1.0 in
the beginning with Object Linking and Embedding ; that is: have excel in
word, word in
excel etc....

Because nobody at MS knew him/herselves what's the real difference between
the names, they mixed up OLE/COM technology... that's why for example
c:\winnt\system32\oleaut32.dll is not named as
c:\winnt\system32\comaut32.dll :)

assume this: vb.com is for activex dll's and vb.ole is for activex ocx
(again, the MS world of terms still did not die! what is OCX what is
ActiveX?)
