 Multiple-step operation generated errors.Check each status value??

Hi Guys,

I get the error "Multiple-step operation generated errors.Check each status
value" when i open three recordset in RDS in Visual Basic Programmatically
and using SQL Server 7.Error Number is "-2147217887"

When i assign a value of the first recordset to second recordset i get this
error.

What could be the reason for this error and what is the resolution for this
error??

I am pasting a piece of code below which generated the error and remember
everything is via RDS and TCP/IP:

Public Function rsInventorySearch(ByVal sLogPath As String, ByVal lMaxRows
As Long, _
       ByVal sID As String, ByVal sSrchCriteria As String) As ADOR.Recordset
On Error GoTo errRsInventorySearch
Log "InventorySearch Start"
Dim Rs As ADOR.Recordset
Dim rsQty As ADOR.Recordset
Dim rsHoldQty As ADOR.Recordset
Dim rsReturn As ADOR.Recordset
Dim lOnHold_inv As Long
Dim lOnHold_Loc As Long
Set Rs = rsInvSearch(sLogPath, lMaxRows, sID, sSrchCriteria)
Set rsQty = rsGetQty(sLogPath, lMaxRows, sID, sSrchCriteria)
Set rsHoldQty = rsGetHoldQty(sLogPath, lMaxRows, sID, sSrchCriteria)
Set rsReturn = Rs
Do While rsQty.EOF = False
    rsReturn.Filter = adFilterNone
        rsReturn.Filter = "sku='" & Trim(rsQty("SKU")) & "' and Lottable01 =
" & IIf(IsNull(rsQty("Lottable01")), "Null", "'" & rsQty("Lottable01") &
"'") & " and Lottable02 = " & IIf(IsNull(rsQty("Lottable02")), "Null", "'" &
rsQty("Lottable02") & "'") & " and lottable03=" &
IIf(IsNull(rsQty("Lottable03")), "Null", "'" & rsQty("Lottable03") & "'") &
_
        " and Lottable04 = " & IIf(IsNull(rsQty("Lottable04")), "Null", "'"
& rsQty("Lottable04") & "'") & " and Lottable05 = " &
IIf(IsNull(rsQty("Lottable05")), "Null", "'" & rsQty("Lottable05") & "'") &
" and StorerKey ='" & rsQty("StorerKey") & "'"
        If rsReturn.RecordCount > 0 Then
            rsReturn("HoldQty").Value = rsReturn("HoldQty").Value +
rsQty("OnHold_Inv").Value
****************************************************************************
*************************************************
The Error comes in the above Line
****************************************************************************
************************************************
rsReturn("AvailableQty") = rsReturn("AvailableQty") - rsQty("OnHold_Inv")
            rsReturn.Update
        End If
    rsReturn.Filter = adFilterNone
    rsQty.MoveNext
Loop

Thanxs in Advance.

Peace

 Multiple-step operation generated errors.Check each status value??
Haven't looked thru your code but I get this error when adding new or
editing a record, then trying to do further editing without first using
.Update or .Cancel. on the original edit

Hope that helps

JM
