 SOAP Tool Kit - Install with out installing IE?

I am working on a project using MS SOAP 2.0 SP2 on the client to communicate
with our Web Services.   According to the requirements of MS SOAP 2.0 SP 2 ,
Internet Explorer 5.0 (or better) is required along with the specific OS
requirements.    I have a client that is not interested at utilizing IE at
all and even to the lengths of not allowing it to be installed on the client
machine, and is adamant about.

My question is:   Is there anyway to distribute only the files required by
MS SOAP 2.0 from the IE installation without actually installing IE, short
of installing it and then just killing the exe?

Thanks in advance for any assistance.

Elaine,

IE5.0 is a non separate product. We can not install only part of it.

You can find out some of the dependency files by using the "Depends" tool
installed along  with the Visual Studio 6.0;
You can redistribute your application using PDW;
You can include these files into the package.

But we can not ensure the application will work and the OS of the target
machine will perform normally, since these files are system files and they
work together with matched version numbers.

If your customer don't want to use IE, you can let him set his default
browser to others.
Hope this will not affect him much.
