Once you follow the DHTML, HTML & CSS link under Libraries / Web Workshop, you have to click on "sync toc". In the table of contents, expand the HTML Applications (HTA) topic to get to the Overview and Reference topics.
Here's the link directly to the Overview

This one is the Reference
http://msdn.microsoft.com/workshop/author/hta/reference/htaref.asp
Wherever you go in the new MSDN site layout, you need to show or sync the toc to see where you are. Show toc is supposed to do essentially the same thing, but I've encountered pages where show toc replaced the current topic page which a single frame of only the toc instead of using a 2 frame layout. Sync toc seems to me to be more reliable.

Pardon my ignorance but when I follow this link I still don't find anything worth while on HTA and how to make it work>?

I saw a post from Mike M and Ian M. about using HTA to launch applications
or even make one.
Here is my question (to anyone).
I would like to make and HTA that will allow me to launch applications under
NT without the Save or Open dialog box popping up every time I link to an
EXE. I want to be able to use gif's or something to represent the link
instead of a button, and My ultimate goal here would be to populate a
structure with values out of a registry key and then populate the links in
the HTA from that.
All I'm after is a possible way to use HTA to launch and EXE without a bunch
of user prompts.
I've dug around on MSDN and all over the web but cant seem to find any
really solid information for this.
Thanks everyone for your time
