Pc Cillin pattern file 399 finds the virus vbs_slug.b in c:\program
files\folder.htt

Is this a false detection?   Any comments.

Hard to say from here, but not necessarily false.  Did you check the virus
encyclopedia at www.pccillin.com?  It says this virus does infect HTT files.

You could check for the existence of the registry setting by using the
instructions at the link above.  If you don't find these settings, it could
still theoretically be a virus anyways.  If you do find these settings, it
probably is a virus.

To confirm or deny a virus infection, consider using a second antivirus
scanner.  There are a few web-based file scanners that you can use for free
with no software to download or install:
