1) In VB6 I could determine if the application was being
executed from within the IDE or whether it was
running "standalone" by comparing GetEXEName with the
results of GetModuleFileName. If you ran from the IDE
GetModuleFileName returned a path to the VB6 EXE instead
of the application name. In VB.NET they now both return
the same thing. Is there something I can check from
within the application to tell me if I was fired up from
w/in the VS.NET IDE?
2) How do I tell when my app is being closed due to a
Shutdown, User Logoff, or Task Manage End Process event in
Win2K? The form's Closing and Closed events don't seem to
be getting hit. In VB6 I thought this could be detected
in the QueryUnload of the form, but that option is no
longer around in VB.NET. I don't really need to know
*why* it's closing, but I do need to write something to a
db as the application closes.
3) Does VB.NET have a masked edit control hidden somewhere
under some obscure pseudonym?
TIA
