Excel 2000, Windows XP, System.Runtime.InteropServices.COMException

 Excel 2000, Windows XP, System.Runtime.InteropServices.COMException

Hi.  I've got a VB.Net app with which I am trying to manipulate an
Excel document.  When I try to run the app I get the error message
"System.Runtime.InteropServices.COMException....COM object is either
not valid or not registered".

It crashes on "Dim WB as New Excel.Workbook"

I've got a reference to Excel 9.0 (2000).  My OS is Windows XP Pro.

Could the problem be that I'm running Excel 2000 on XP?

Any suggestions are appreciated.

Thanks,
Jennifer

There is a known issue somewhere in a KB about this.
