I wish to set the access control lists (group permissions) on files and
folders from within VB.Net.

I have found some references to CDO/ADSI which appear to be the 'old
fashioned VB6' way of doing things.

Has anyone tried setting access control lists on files from within VB.Net?
if so how did you go about it?
