Um, what is the book about, precisely? Who is the publisher? When is the target release date? I mean, since you are trolling for free help and all.... -- MichKa a new book on internationalization in VB at http://www.i18nWithVB.com/

Um, no. I might post it here for everybody's benefit, but you're not getting preferential treatment. As someone who has yet to contribute to this newsgroup, you don't even have any IOU's built up. While there is no hard and fast rule about this (most of us don't count favors), I know that zero people helped is not enough for to make such a self serving demand. If you don't have the time, patient, or inclination to do the research yourself, then you shouldn't be writing a book. Otherwise, read the posts, help when you can, and ask questions when you can't. (You can even participate in the debates if you wish, but you won't make a lot of friends). -- Jonathan Allen

Whatever you say, Be sure to say that VB6 is needed for another 5 years if for nothing else as a training language. Andrew sims

Dear Jonathan, I think the same that you!, my problem is that I live in South American, and many times are very difficult for me to obtain information, documentation, papers, etc. I know that it's easier to access to this information to many people, but no for me. I have a Visual Basic Support page, and I recive houndred of questions by month (an it is free, all free!!). I understand your idea, and i think that is true. Many month ago, I called to microsoft and I said that I was writting a book, and if they could gave me documentation, information, etc., but I have no response. Thanks your opinion, is very important for my. Erich Bhler. MCSD and VB6 Certified.

Why, does the Internet work differently in South America? Quote: >I know that it's easier to access to this information to many people, but no >for me.
You could get it from the moon if you have Net access. Quote: >I have a Visual Basic Support page, and I recive houndred of questions by >month (an it is free, all free!!).
So, for starters, list the address to that page. Quote: >Thanks your opinion, is very important for my.
Okay, people are going to hate me for this, but I have to ask. What language are you going to write this book in?

There is no reason why you can't log-in, download the newsgroup, and log off again. Then write all your responses, log-in, upload, and log-off again. You only need to be connected for a few minutes to get everything we've written in the past day or two. -- Jonathan Allen
