 vb.net 2002 or vb.net 2003 beta

Hi

I need to start a new vb.net app in the new year. If given the chance should
I start with vs.net 2003 beta instead of vs.net 2002? Are  there any major
productivity advantages?

Thanks

Regards

There are no real big difference between 2003 and 2003, 2003 is still in
beta and will be probably released in April 2003, if your project final date
is after Apr 2003 you can start developing with 2003 otherwise i would not
install a beta version 1.1 of the framework on a customer machine (tought
variosu framework versions can be installed side-by-side).
Migration from 2002 to 2003 is painless and you'll be  up and running with
the new one in 10 minutes.

John,
In addition to Corrado's comments.

If you use abstract base classes (MustInherit) or interfaces a lot, VS.NET
2003 has a handy feature that it will automatically add all of the methods
to class.

NOTE: VS.NET will not be released until April 2003.

Hope this helps
Jay

You read it bad, being the beta available since Nov, 17 and beta being
normally followed by a series of RCs, before Xmas it would not be possible
anyway here's a ref  http://www.eweek.com/article2/0,3959,715292,00.asp

Urs,
My understanding is MSDN Universal subscribers will get the Final Beta
shipment the end of the month:
http://msdn.microsoft.com/subscriptions/resources/highlights.asp

I want to say I read the April 2003 date under here:
http://msdn.microsoft.com/vstudio/productinfo/vstudio03/overview/defa...

However I do not see the specific link.

Hope this helps
Jay
