 Help With A Question

Hello,

I have made numerous posts about this online Visual Basic.net class I've
signed up for. It said INTRO but to me, it is starting out too advanced.
Regardless, the teacher has "backed up" a little and her is our first
questions:

1.      Design an ADT for an appointment book. The data in the ADT should
include a name, a date, a time, and a comment. The ADT should also include
an operation for displaying the data stored.

2.      Design an ADT for storing the date. Be sure to include each piece of
data that makes up the date, along with the following operations:

Display the date in mm/dd/yyyy format.

Increment the date by one day.

Compare two dates to see if they are the same.

His examples of ADT seem like they are written in "English" and not in
VB.NET format. I just don't know what he wants me to do. Without someone
"giving me the answer", how can I get started?

I appreciate any help you can provide!

Brian

 Help With A Question
Here is the only ADT example he shows us (below). Question 3 days to write
question 1 as a structure, so I guess question 1 needs to be like this
below, correct? I am sorry if this seems easy for the experts out there, but
I expected a "Hello, world" and simple forms and functions before getting
into this.

We can now develop our TimeType ADT using this format.

ADT TimeType :

            Data

The hours, minutes, and seconds of the time. Each of
these is stored as an

Integer. The time is originally stored in 24-hour format, but it can be

converted to 12-hour format. The hours number can be in the range from 0

to 23. The minutes number can be in the range from 0 to 59. The seconds

number can be in the range from 0 to 59.

            Operations

                        Initialize

                                    Input:                            None

                                    Preconditions:               None

                                    Process:                       Set each
data member to 0.

                                    Output:             None

Postconditions: Each data member is set
to 0.

                        SetTime

                                    Input:                            Hours,
minutes, and seconds.

                                    Preconditions:               None

                                    Process:                       Set each
data member to respective integer.

                                    Output:             None

                                    Postconditions: Each data member
contains the number

assigned to it.

                        Display

                                    Input:                            None

                                    Preconditions:               None

                                    Process:                       Each data
member is tested to see if its value

                                                                        is
less than 9. If the value is less than 9, the

value has a "0" added to the front of the

value and the value is converted to a string.

                                    Output:             The time in hh:mm:ss
format.

                                    Postconditions: None
