Using same mechanism for object serialization and DB persistence

Hi guys

is there a way to use the same mechanism for serialization and DB
persistence ?
I have a great project with many classes, all of them both implementing
ISerializable (with my own serialization routine) and persistable to a
Database via ADO.
I don't want to use twice for every class the same routine for values
reading/writing, once from a DataSet/DataReader and once from the
serialization storage.
Is there a framework or tool that use the same mechanism for this two
functionalities, something like

PersistToDatabase(MyObject As ISerializable, TableName, ...)
or similar ?

Thanks in advance
David
