VBS Scripts won't run, bad association?

Jim Frohof #1 / 4	VBS Scripts won't run, bad association? Somehow, in the course of trying to view VBScripts, I inadvertantly associated the VBS suffix with Notepad. Now, when I click on VBS files, they just open rather than execute. I have installed the new scripting (5.5) but with no success. Can anyone help? I didn't think it was possible to re-map the associations to VBS files, but now I know I can on Win2000 anyway! Thanks in advance! Jim Frohoff

Doug Fris #2 / 4	VBS Scripts won't run, bad association? Let me just say that is how my system is configured. If you want to run the script, right click and select open. You can change the default association from explorer's tools -> folder options -> file types dialog. Jim Frohof #3 / 4	VBS Scripts won't run, bad association? I changed the association back to WSCRIPT.EXE and all is well. I can now just click to run and right-click, Edit to Edit the script. thx, jf

The reason I have my default behavior set to edit is sometimes I double click when I don't intend to and I have some scripts that are somewhat "destructive".
