 what's the length limit of QueryString

 what's the length limit of QueryString

Hi,
Is there anybody know the length limit of QueryString in ASP? I heard that
is 256 characters, but when I went to www.microsoft.com to search something,
I found the length can be more than 256. Do you have any idea about it?
