Office XP vs. 2000 automation problem

I have a simple procedure where I convert an uploaded .doc file to .html. It *used* to work fine under Office 2000. Today I installed Office XP and now I get a server error when I try to open Word, i.e. using:

Set objWD = CreateObject("Word.Application")

I read various Microsoft KB docs on configuring Office to run under the "interactive" user account, "specific" user account, and as the "launching" user -- and I tried all three -- but to no avail. The only thing I did not do was to write, install, and run an NT service which was suggested in the latter case, since I didn''t do that the last time. The product is properly activated so that''s not the problem either.

If anyone is using ASP and VBS to open any Office XP program, even for simple things, please let me know how you have Office configured!

Thanks.
