HELP - VBScript 5.6 requires an install/reboot everytime to execute within ASP.
Hi, I've installed Windows Script 5.6 running on a Windows 2000 Server, SP1. When I try using the "FileSystemObject" methods (i.e. GetFolder()), under an Active Server Page, the system seems to "hang" (the browser page appears to be loading, and does not respond). However, if I re-install Windows Script 5.6, reboot, and then re-load the ASP page, it works. Everytiime, I have to boot up my server, install Windows Script 5.6, reboot, and THEN I can view my ASP sites utilizing the "FileSystemObject". Anybody, with any ideas?! Thanks in advance.

As quoted often in here (usually by Mike Harris it seems), see: Q295375 - PRB: Web Application That Uses FileSystemObject Stops Responding http://support.microsoft.com/support/kb/articles/Q295/3/75.ASP I know nothing about the issuemyself, I jsut see it raised every other day or so and this appears to be the kind of environment you have. Note that the cause seems to be NAV script blocking.

Thank Michael Harris and Torgeir Bakken - they've posted that about 20 times and would have been along shortly to answer anyway... ;).
