 find folder (vbscript & outlook today)

when making a customized outlook-today page for our intranet i ran into the
problem of finding
the "public folders" when the user has done installations with mixed

trying to detect the language setting doesn't help since there are a few
cases were outlook reports
"english" but still the "public folder" is called "gemensamma mappar"
(swedish for "public folders")
and therefor making my script fail to find the folder.

****the script i'm trying to use****
    set olApp = window.external.outlookapplication
    set olFolder = olApp.GetNameSpace("MAPI")
    if olApp.LanguageSettings.LanguageID(2) = 1053 then '1053 = swedish,
1033 = english
     olFolder1 = "Gemensamma Mappar"
     olFolder1 = "Public Folders"
    end if
    olFolder2 = olFolder.Folders(olFolder1).Folders(2)

    'l?nk till Anslagstavlan
    document.writeln "<A HREF='outlook:\\" & olFolder1 & "\" & olFolder2 &
"\Anslagstavlan'><b><font face=""Arial"" size=""3""

using a numberr instead of the folder string name like this:

set olFolder = olApp.GetNameSpace("MAPI")

wont work either since the "public folder" can change number if you add or
delete another folders.

is there a way to check if the a folder with a specific name exists? mayby
thats the solution?
