If you mean "Can I open and read/write textfiles?", then the answer is
certainly "Yes". Look up "OpenAsTextStream" method and the "File"
object in your online documentation. There are examples of reading and
writing.

Yes, you can use the file system object, Alexander.  However, if you're
talking about using ASP to manipulate a file on a client PC, you may have
problems due to security features in IE.  I stay away from Web stuff,
though, so someone else may be able to help you with that.
