Test terminal server / WLBS connectivity through Telnet/scripting?

Hi,

Does anyone know of a way to test if a terminal server
and WLBS are working properly (RDP running, accepting
logon etc.) from within a script?

We run an ASP environment with a lot of terminal services
and need to be able to periodically test the terminal
servers to make sure they all accept logon and WLBS is
working like it should.

I'm thinking something along the line of doing a Telnet
to the server on the RDP port, but I don't know if it is
possible to simulate a logon by sending commands to the
server through Telnet.

Any ideas? All feedback is highly appreciated! Please CC:
your response to my email-address above is possible
(remove "NOSPAM_" from the start of the address).

TIA

Best regards,
Nicolaj Rasmussen
