 8.4 vs 8.3

Hi,

how is tcl8.4 related to 8.3 ?  -- I use 8.4 (from the CVS)
for quite a while now and it seems to be pretty stable.

That's good, because that's the way it is meant.  Unlike other
projects, even an alpha Tcl is fairly stable.  Perhaps we
shouldn't be so conservative, but we still are for now.

It has a few new features, and a lot of speed enhancements.
An 8.4a3 will be out soon as an official checkpoint release.
