 Problem with Expect 4.3

Hello,

After building expect 4.3 on HP-UX 8.0 with HAVE_PTYTRAP _undefine_ (Could
not compile it with it defined), I try to run kibitz.  I've change the 'cat'
to 'cat -u' inside kibitz.  After typing:

on one window (1), I get the following message on another window (2):
   Message from tdoan (pty/ttyva) [ Wed Mar 24 21:01:53 ] ...
Can we talk? Run: kibitz -15091
   <EOT>
After typing:
   kibitz -15091
on window (2), both window just hung.  The following outputs are in file 1:
trap: setting up signal 2 ("SIGINT")
asking tdoan to type:  kibitz -15091
   system(echo Can we talk?  Run: "kibitz -15091" | /bin/write tdoan pty/ttyv9) = 0
The following outputs are in file 2:
   /dev/pty/ttyp5 slave open, skipping
            :
   /dev/pty/ttyv5 slave open, skipping
too many programs spawned? - out of ptys
       while executing
"spawn sh -c "stty raw; exec < $userinfile; exec cat $catflags""
       invoked from within
   "if $user_number==2 {
           # for readability, swap variables
        set tmp $userinfile
        set userinfile $useroutfile
        set useroutfile $tmp

        if ![file readable $ ..."
trap: setting up signal 2 ("SIGINT")
Couldn't figure out how to make a fifo - where is mknod?
   generic_sighandler: handling signal(0)

Also the file  /etc/resolv.conf used by kibitz does not exist on our machine.
Has anyone encountered this problem?  Anyone know of a fix?

Thanks,

It compiles on our HP-UX 8.0.5 system.  Please send me the specific
diagnostics you are getting.  PTYTRAP is there just to support the HP!

The HP will not work without PTYTRAP defined!

I could use 'domainname' as a fallback.  I'll do this unless anyone
else has a better suggestion.  Unfortunately, on some systems,
domainname returns the NIS domainname which is not the internet
domainname.
