 Automated testing of Tcl/Tk applications

I am attempting to write automated regression tests for a
Graphical User Interface written in Tcl/Tk. I am having some
success using the "send" command to drive the application
under test.

Examples:
To put text into an entry widget...
   send -async $application [list $widget insert 0 $text ]

To press the OK button on a dialog box...
   send -async $application [list $button invoke ]

Is anyone else having any success doing this?
Are you using any third party testing tools?

Any suggestions or tips would be greatly appreciated.
