using exec in windows nt exec on tcl scripts

i currently have MANY scripts written on linux, hp, sun and i'm working
toward nt :-\.

i am having a heck of a time getting the exec to work on nt, i can run
the script from a nt command prompt, so it's associated in the registry
correctly.  i NEED to find a way to exec tcl scripts from a tcl shell,
redirect the output to log files, etc, and pass cmd line args.

so far i can exec with the hack of, with no luck on redirect or cmdline

redirect output any way.  i've tried :

with no luck and i was just guessing on how to do it.  please help....

thanks in advance,

ps if i need to hack, anyone know how to rewrite the exec in the source
or as a tcl proc, and use the "exec" as my new proc and the execOld as i
need to.
