Strange. Works with tk3.6 under Linux, SunOS 4.1.3, IRIS 5.2, and Ultrix
4.2... (Was not very interesting on a B&W VS2000 XTerm though
(everything seemed to have been mapped to black). The colormap problem
might have been a problem with Netscape (was your Netscape window up
while you tried it?) or something else using up slots in the colormap.
The above URL seems to have hit an all time high in the number of hits
in the week or so after I put it up.
(In case anyone is wondering why the code is not as optimal as it could
be, it was written mostly for experimental purposes -- the guts (more or
less) ended up in a kids counting program (which puts up a random number
of a particular type of fish and asks "How many Great White Sharks are
there?" or "How many goldfish are there?", etc. -- perfect scores get a
popup with Yoda, bad scores get a popup with Darth Vader...).)
