 event.test , fCmd.test : Error testing Tcl with Linux v2.0.7

After compiling Tk v4.2 and Tcl v7.6.p2 with Linux 2.07, using
gcc v2.7.2 I am getting errors from the 'event' test.  I am using
XllR6. Following is the output from 'make test' (DX486 66):
