 mac tk/wish8.0

greetings,

i've recently tested a wish app on the mac -- it was written under win32 --
and had a few problems/comments:

= when i use the stub created by a "drag-n-drop tclet" a console window is
opened, which is contrary to the description of "wish". (wish is given a
file to source, so...)

= i've implemented popup help by using a toplevel and marking it transient;
on the mac, the popup grabs focus and the main window stops receiving mouse
events... (it looks like i'll be using a status bar instead! :)

= if i "-highlightthickness 1" (i think that was it) a scrollbar on the mac,
there's a 1 pixel area around the scrollbar that doesn't get repainted and
collects garbage.

= mac wish8.0 occaisonally crashes, but unfortunately i haven't yet come up
with a reliably reproducible case; is there a list of known "this will crash
wish on platform P" problems?

= i think it'd be helpful if sunscript kept a list of bug/feature-requests
online, along with status (confirmed bug, rejected feature request, etc.)...

= i may be wrong, but canvas rectangles appear to be 'off' by 1 pixel on the
mac (both width and height)...

= is there really a new release coming in the next week or so? :)

thanx!

....i was being silly about this. (i jumped to conclusions since i'd seen
this sort of problem before elsewhere...)
