| appears to go out of its way to say "nope" to that.

Ahh.  I did not see the extra "NOTE" at the bottom
in reference to section 10 of the GPL, where by the
author (if not the FSF) may grant exceptions.  And
I like the blanket Open Source exception.. neat trick.
