I was wondering...

I have python 1.5.2 on linux.

Is there a 2.x that is open source, (not from BeOpen) that I can download?
If so, where can I get it?

I know that the team now moved to another host recently but I don't
remember where...

not sure why you think it cannot be open source if
it's from BeOpen, but I suppose this is what you're
