This is a carefully edited survey collection, not a textbook. Peter (who
contributed to the earlier volume too) wrote "first textbook".

Hmm, perhaps the meaning of "textbook" has changed since I
was at school. It used to mean "a book prepared for use in
schools or colleges". But granted, it is a collection of
surveys, with little "prose". ;-)
