Frame based representation in Prolog

 Frame based representation in Prolog

I am currently trying to implement a frame based system in Prolog (Poplog
Prolog) using backward chaining.

Could you help me with any source code for a frame based representation in
Prolog?

Even a simple one with the basic functions (adding a frame, deleting a frame,
updating a frame, etc) would do it.

A system which would support a hybrid formalism (rules/frames, eg. allowing
slots to contain production rules or procedures to be executed) would be ideal.

Thank you.

Have a look at Jay & Knaus, 1989, Expert's toolbox: Frames in
Prolog, AI Expert 4 (3): 19-24.  Then look at Parsaye & Chignell,
Expert systems for experts, to get an explanation of the
functional needs of a frame-based system.

Also see _Building Expert Systems in Prolog_ by Dennis Merritt, and
the accompanying source code at http://www.amzi.com

Dennis uses frames as part of a couple of forward chaining shells.
