Try adding the following to httpd.conf:

LoadModule php4_module <path to php dll>

You will need to edit php.ini to set the web root directory, your email and
SMTP server, and set a temporary folder for uploads and session variables
and select which extensions (not file extensions, but loadable function
libraries) you wish php to load. The temporary folder for session variables
is important, if you don't explicitely state a folder, you won't be able to
use session variables.

Installing php4 as a module for Apache 2:

a) copy php4ts.dll from c:\webserver\php\ directory into
c:\webserver\apache2\bin\

b) copy php4apache2.dll from c:\webserver\php\sapi\ to
c:\webserver\apache2\modules\

c) edit c:\webserver\apache2\conf\httpd.conf, adding the lines:

LoadModule php4_module modules/php4apache2.dll
AddType application/x-httpd-php .php

d) copy php.ini fromc:\webserver\php\ to c:\windows\

This should do the job.
