 Q: How do I ring the terminal bell

I know
     echo -n '^G'
, or
     echo '\007\c'
do the work in Unix shell script.
But what about in Perl?
Is there anything other than
     system "echo '\007\c'
?

        Easy.  print "\a";  will do it.  Its in the documentation...and the
same as C.

$bond = "\007" ;
print "$bond" worked for me on a unix box.
