 Building Perl5 with GNU-win32

I am trying to build Perl5.004_01 using Cygnus' GNU-Win32 dev kit.
(Great package, hats off to Cygnus) I copied cgywin32 directory
to the source root dir, modified ld2, put ld2 & gcc2 in the path,
and ran sh configure , no problem. Well one problem, it asks to
extract symbols from the library, the default was y , and then it
asked where the library was, and I guessed GNU-Win32\H-i386-cygwin32
\lib\gcc-lib . Configure ran fine, and make ran OK up to util.o ,
where it fell over with :
Internal compiler error: program cc1 got fatal signal 33
Any help appreciated.
