 CR before login or any help that would lf before login

Using my config, i want to connect to a device that has a screen and
you must hit a character for the prompt. How would I edit to
incorporate this CR in order to log in? Thanks in advance.

#!/usr/bin/perl -w
# file: printtelnet.prl
use strict;
use Net::Telnet;
use constant HOST => '172.148.218.37';
use constant USER => 'admin';
use constant PASS => 'admin';
my $telnet = Net::Telnet->new(HOST);
$telnet->login(USER,PASS);
